A lot of downtime

# A Rollercoaster of Downtime

In 2023, my life took an unexpected turn when I got injured by dogs while picking up something. Then, just a year later in December 2024, disaster struck again—I broke my pelvis during a dog walk. It was one of those days when my personal dogs were being extra enthusiastic, and they pulled me along on our usual trail, which had become an icy nightmare that day.

As we tried to make our way uphill, the ground beneath us became slippery due to ice. This made it nearly impossible to continue further on the path, leading to a hard slip and ultimately forcing us to visit the emergency room.

Recovering from such an injury was no walk in the park (pun intended). I found it incredibly challenging to even walk without support like a walker or crutch. As you can imagine, this made driving impossible for me until May 2025.

On top of everything else, my appointments dealing with other health issues, such as problems within my GI tract and carpal tunnel syndrome, added to the chaos in my life.

Reflecting on these experiences, I have to admit that the idea of returning to driving pets across the country seems like an insurmountable challenge right now. However, if I can find a way to secure funding for it, perhaps I could consider hiring drivers to work with me instead.
